Chris Evan Brown – Editor

Non-fiction editor with 15 years' experience of helping authors to make great books. Specialisms: music, geography, history, business.

Overview

I’m a freelance editor in non-fiction publishing, based in Bristol, England. I provide development editorial, copy editing and proofreading services. I have a wealth of experience in print as well as digital publishing.

I first gained experience working in various roles at Nelson Thornes Educational Publisher, before becoming a freelancer. I provide freelance services to UK publishers including Hodder Education, Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press, Pearson, McGraw-Hil and Rhinegold Education.

I have edited content for a wide range of subjects, guiding many authors through the publishing process. Ultimately a good editor adds value to an author's project, and helps to streamline their work to maximise its impact on the target audience: the reader.

I can cater to a variety of editing needs. I look forward to hearing from you.
