Overview
I’m a skilled and passionate published writer with over ten years of experience working in entertainment journalism and book publishing. I spent several years as a book publishing assistant at United Talent Agency (UTA), where I played a first-hand role in the initial conception, creative process, development, and eventual publication of numerous books, including So Close to Being the Sht, Y’all Don’t Even Know* by Retta; Antitrust: Taking on Monopoly Power from the Gilded Age to the Digital Age by Senator Amy Klobuchar; My Vanishing Country: A Memoir by Bakari Sellers; Natural Disaster: I Cover Them. I Am One. by Ginger Zee; Class Mom by Laurie Gelman, and many more.
I have extensive experience writing book proposals and preparing manuscripts for submission to publishers, ensuring they are polished, compelling, and market-ready. I recently completed work on a 96,000-word Holocaust family memoir, involving a blend of developmental editing, ghost editing, and selective ghostwriting, and supporting a non-native English–speaking author in shaping their manuscript.
I’m currently the Managing Editor at BroadwayWorld, the largest and most comprehensive theater site online. In this role, I write and edit articles covering Broadway, Regional Theatre, Film/TV, Music, Opera, and more across regions around the world. I have conducted over 400 interviews with Broadway stars, filmmakers, television actors, dancers, authors, and other leading figures in the entertainment industry, including Fran Drescher, Candace Bushnell, Gregory Maguire, Jennifer Nettles, Alex Lacamoire, Marilu Henner, Stacy Keach, Tovah Feldshuh, Dr. Ruth, and more.
I am particularly interested in working on memoirs with a compelling personal narrative, non-fiction projects rooted in politics, pop culture, or social justice, and stories set against rich historical backdrops.
