John Carter

John Carter – Ghostwriter

I'm an award-winning writer, specialising in Sport, Business and Management. 30 working years of enthusiasm, experience and expertise!

Overview

I've recently ghost-written books with the CEO of an international airline and a professional footballer. More generally, I've enjoyed a long, varied and successful career in Business and Management, latterly becoming a renowned writer of e-learning and developmental books, such as the Good Manager Guides.

I have four published sportsbooks to my name - plus four others that I've ghost-written - working with prestigious publishing houses such as Bloomsbury. Won Dr. Tony Ryan Book Award in the United States for 'Warriors on Horseback'.

Nowadays my main focus is on ghostwriting for people who want to tell their story in an engaging way. Biographies and memoirs, particularly sport-related, are my speciality. I also work with people and businesses that want to create high impact blogs, e-learning or books that showcase their expertise.

I've learned that the key skill, when working with and for others, is to write from their perspective and in their voice, capturing their ideas, personality and style.

Recent feedback:

'I worked with John whilst writing my first book. He has been the driving force, and more importantly, led me through the process of writing a book step by step. I doubt that without his help and enthusiasm I would ever have taken the first step. However, now that our book is finished and we have been offered a publishing deal from one of the biggest publishers in the world, I am absolutely delighted to have agreed to work with John on this project.' - Paul McVeigh

'I have worked with John on producing a book documenting my father’s life. It’s been challenging because of my father’s health initially, suffering with Parkinson’s and latterly as he passed away before we’d finished the project. John has been flexible, understanding and a pleasure to work with. He’s made easy something which seemed too difficult to pull off. John has guided us carefully through every stage and the end result is a fantastic book telling dad’s story which simply couldn’t have been achieved without John and which we can’t wait to release.' - James Blower

'John is the immaculate professional and his mastery of the English language allows him to transcribe thoughts into eloquent ideas. Not only is he a gifted writer, but his background in management principles provides a unique perspective for organizing content and completing tasks in an efficient and effective manner. He always goes above and beyond what is expected of him, offering a multitude of conceptual alternatives and allowing you to pick the option which you most prefer. We could not be happier with the work he has done for us!' - Riley Henson, Director of Course Development, Responsible Training

John is a consummate professional. Working with him was a joy... We interviewed several writers before deciding to work with John. John stood out amongst the interviews because we just felt that we clicked.
