I have copy edited 15 Christian books, ranging from memoirs to teaching manuals. Fortunate to collaborate with authors from six nations to date, I am sensitive to the subtle nuances of communication; and this has enabled me to edit in a way that matches each writer’s voice.

In addition, I have proofread six 200‑page discussion documents on topics such as sustainability, agriculture, finance, global supply chains and psychology. These were submitted as proposals to the German government by a prestigious religious think tank and required a high level of accuracy, consistency and attention to detail.

Background:

Mentored by some of the UK's best journalists, I was privileged to work for BBC News for eight years, writing for adults, as well as for children (Newsround). I have used this foundation of accuracy and impartiality to help shape 15 books for publication.

Regarding the process:

I prefer to make alterations in sections, meticulously reading the text twice and returning each section to the author for their input before a final (third) round of proofreading to tidy up any spelling, punctuation and consistency errors.

Where possible, I prefer to use Microsoft Word's tracking tool.
