Candice Dailey – Designer

I am a freelance illustrator residing in Missouri. My interest in art was sparked at a very early age by a passion for fantasy and science fiction which continues to shape the work I do today. I received my bachelor’s degree in commercial art with an emphasis in illustration from the University of Central Missouri, and continue to study and perfect my trade today, always striving to become better. I recently completed a year of SmArt School studying under the Illustrative masters Todd Lockwood and Daniel Dos Santos.I specializes in science-fiction and fantasy art and strive to use my passion for color, emotion, and traditional mediums to create new ways of seeing loved characters. I am a sketch card artist for Topps and was named a grand prize winner in Disney's official Star Wars: The Last Jedi fan art contest, where my work was featured on the red carpet at the world premiere. In 2018 I teamed up with the publisher Hollow Harbor to bring one of my own characters to life, a lovable sea monster named Mr. French.More recently I have done comic book covers for Vault Comics, Aequitas Comics, and I illustrated the cover for the novel Dusk Rider Volume 3. In 2020 I was selected to take part in the juried show for Star Wars Celebration, and created licensed artwork for Lucas Film and ACME Archives. I have more art releasing in 2021 for Star Wars and Firefly. My biggest goal is to bring incredible work to my clients and break into the avenue of novel covers moving forward.
