Brian Barth – Designer

I designed book covers for nine years at Pantheon Books, in the Knopf Group, a part of what is now Penguin Random House in New York, after which I moved to Berlin where I continue my work as my own studio since 2012. Books are essentially good things and I love being a part of bringing them into manifestation, together in collaboration with the authors, editors, production, and marketing people, revealing the face the book presents to the world.

I welcome input for the direction of the design and always present an array of options initially, so that we have a chance to see various directions to be able to choose the best one for all considerations. The chosen direction is then refined in another round of mockups, if needed.
I look forward to starting something new!
