“Ann is a true master of her craft. From elegant literary novels to bold voices in nonfiction, she strikes the perfect note, over and over again.”

—Laura Mazer, literary agent, Wendy Sherman Associates

I’ve been collaborating with talented art and production teams inside book publishing houses for more than twenty years. I design covers in a wide variety of genres, including historical fiction, memoir, public affairs, religion, poetry, short stories, and more. My clients range from university and literary presses to large New York City publishing houses. I’m an adept communicator and follow production schedules with ease.

I’ve been partnering with independent authors for more than ten years. I’m a creative and open-minded collaborator, happy to explain various stages in the publishing process. There are two ways we can work together. I can design your book cover and prepare the final mechanical for printing or I can design your cover and guide you through the steps to produce a complete book package. Depending upon your needs, this might include creating a detailed design and production schedule, recommending an expert book interior designer, introducing you to a skilled editor, connecting you with an experienced marketing professional, introducing you to a quality book printer, supervising the entire printing process, recommending a book distributor, and assisting you in obtaining an ISBN, a Library of Congress control number, and U.S. copyright registration.
