I was a senior acquisitions editor in the Brilliance division of Amazon Publishing where I signed several hundred deals a year in all genres, including high-profile authors such as Shaun T, Marion Ross, Sean Spicer, Edouard Louis, and more.

As Senior Acquisitions Editor, I worked with hundreds of literary agents and signed several hundred projects, including many high profile authors, such as Joanna Lindsey, Ursula K. Leguin, Garth Greenwell, and more.

I was the head of editorial operations for the combined AudioGO/BBC Audio and Blackstone companies. I managed a team of five acquisitions editors and spearheaded the editorial focus and vision. Personally I signed and/or discovered many authors and books, including The Dinner by Herman Koch, The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed out the Window and Disappeared, by Jonas Jonasson, and many many more.

I worked for Macmillan for almost ten years managing all domestic licensing. I represented their vast array of national and international bestsellers, including Jackie Collins, Janet Evanovich, Augusten Burroughs, Robert Jordan, Louise Penny, etc. I worked on the publishing programs of St. Martin's Press, Tor, Forge, Picador, Minotaur, Griffin, etc.

As Director, I headed the publishing imprint and steered its sales, marketing, and editorial vision. I managed an acquisitions staff and a national sales staff of over 30 sales reps. As director, I approved and closed the original deal to publish the blockbuster international bestselling non-fiction work, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, by Rebecca Skloot.
