Overview
My years in publishing have given me the unique opportunity to hone my eye for a great story and its importance to any genre. During my time at Melville House, I was able to assist in the editing of THE MAKING OF DONALD TRUMP, NYT Bestseller by nonfiction storyteller and Pulitzer Prize-winner David Cay Johnston. I further honed these nonfiction skills during my time at Hachette Book Group under Da Capo Press, where I worked on lifestyle titles that demonstrated how a great cookbook can also make a great story. My work with SAGE Publications provided an opportunity to see how specialized academic topics can also be brought to life by such a compelling narrative structure. In addition to this extensive nonfiction experience, I have four years of experience as a reader at Post Road Magazine, a nationally renowned literary journal.
My work as an editor is motivated by a belief in the unique and transformative nature of the editor-author relationship. In my time at Boston-based literary agency Kneerim & Williams, I served as primary contact for authors seeking representation. This role remains influential for my freelance projects, where I am at my best when helping new authors get over their creative precipice. You've written a book because you have something to say. Let's make it great together.
