Audrey Mackaman – Editor

Audrey is a certified copy editor through the University of Washington, with a BA in English lit and creative writing from Beloit College. She is a published middle grade author through HarperCollins. She has worked with writers all over the world, in all different genres and publishing goals. Some of her bestselling clients include epic fantasy author Marc Allan Edelheit, historical fiction author Suzanne Kelman, and women's fiction author Andrea Hurst. Copy editing covers not only the basics of grammar, punctuation, and spelling, but also consistency of plot points, word usage, style, and all those other elements that keep the reader's experience smooth while enjoying your story. Audrey's copy edits include two manuscript read-throughs and a style sheet of names, places, and style elements. All edits are marked in Track Changes, unless requested otherwise, for ease of viewing and accepting.
