Copy editor w/ 8+ years of experience at one of the top-five lifestyle magazines in the U.S. Seasoned recipe editor and cookbook editor

Overview

Hi. I'm a food editor by day and a fiction writer by morning and night. I have a B.A. and M.A. in English Literature, and have spent my career honing my skills as a copy editor with an emphasis on food. I worked for eight years as a lead recipe editor at one of the top-five largest lifestyle magazines in the U.S. and have copyedited numerous cookbooks for authors such as Todd English, Rebecca Lang, Rebecca Kracke Gordon, Southern Living, and Oxmoor House.

In addition to my food experience, I have worked with numerous writers to hone their manuscripts before beginning the query process. Whether they sought constructive, critical feedback or a close-read edit, I put my two degrees in English to hard work to help sharpen their manuscripts into the shiny jewels they needed to catch literary agents' eyes.

Now I'm stepping out into the freelance marketplace. So whether you're writing a novel or compiling a cookbook, reach out! I'd love to chat.
