Overview

I am a freelance editor with over seven years' experience working with fiction and non-fiction titles. After graduating from Macalester College with a B.A. in English and creative writing, I began editing, and have since worked on over 100 books, including multiple bestselling titles, for both self-published authors and traditional publishers.

As an avid reader and writer since childhood, I love diving into a book and helping get it in shape so that readers can experience the story without any distractions. My favorite genres to work with are thriller/mystery, sci-fi/fantasy, and literary fiction, but I enjoy working with books of pretty much any kind.

In addition to my freelance work, I also served for over six years as Vice President of Button Publishing, Inc., publishers of popular poetry and non-fiction titles such as Our Numbered Days, Helium, and Depression & Other Magic Tricks.

I will admit one of the scariest parts of this "becoming an author" process was not only hiring an editor but working with them. Dylan made not only the decision to hire him easy but working with him was amazing. My first book is something I'm very proud of and I owe a huge debt of gratitude to Dylan. His recommendations - structurally were insightful, in-depth and always in keeping with the o...
