Overview

I'm Ariell, the publisher and editorial director of Wild Hunt Books, an exciting publishing house in South London. With more than ten years in different roles in the publishing and literary world, I understand it can be very personal and difficult to let another person read your work. Your manuscript will be treated with respect, care and confidentiality.

As an editor, I am happy to work with manuscripts that span across genres in either adult or young adult (YA) fiction, but I have added specialities in literary fiction, general contemporary fiction, historical fiction, horror, magical realism, fantasy, thriller and mystery/crime/suspense.

I regularly collaborate with authors on editorial assessments, developmental editing and query letter reviews. I also provide copy editing for manuscripts that have already gone through multiple revisions.

My editorial approach evaluates your entire draft or partial draft, considering your manuscript’s structure, plot, narrative, pacing, character development, dialogue and writing quality. This is an extensive look at your complete book. Is the manuscript working from beginning to end? My services are for writers who are prepared to revise and polish their manuscripts with actionable feedback.

Ariell provided excellent and timely service, especially for the rate. Her review of my letter was more comprehensive than I expected, and it led to a much smoother version that I ultimately went with in seeking agents. If I end up looking for another agent in the future, I will definitely be a returning customer.

Thank you, Steve! It was great working on your letter and I wish you the best of luck with your agent search.

Ariell is gold standard. The first draft I sent her was not very good. Ariell told me all that needed to change, gave strong advice on how to change it and managed to make the whole thing positive and educative. When I sent a next draft through, she felt it was much stronger and now pinpointed the more minor issues still needing improvement. Her communication is excellent and her work perfectl...

Your platform and its service is a godsend for writers like myself. It's loaded with professionals writers can readily go to for competent assistance. However, my recent experience has being a bit different. After careful selection from the available editors suggested, I chose Ariell, but the outcome fell short of expectations. Only about 20 to 25% of the editorial assessment of my manuscri...
