Overview
I have over four years of experience in manuscript assessment, proofreading, and providing editorial support on in-depth fiction and non-fiction editing projects for both adult and children’s audiences. I'm a fan of the Oxford comma!
My favourite books to work on are for YA and children's audiences, and I especially enjoy fantasy and magical stories. I provide proofreading services across all genres but am also available for manuscript assessment (or reader reports) of books for children and/or teens. I offer reader reports on either sample chapters (ideally the first 3-5 chapters) or on an entire novel. The aim of the assessment is to provide the author with valuable feedback on plot development, character, and dialogue. It will give a summary of the areas that need attention, the elements that work and the elements that don’t. If there are other areas of interest that you would like me to keep in mind during the assessment, that can be negotiated.
