Overview

I am a Commissioning Editor with over ten years' in-house experience working in illustrated book publishing. Now freelance, with an office in South London, I provide editorial services to book publishers, packagers, brands and authors. Specialist subject areas include craft, design, fashion, interiors, health and cookery.

With experience of planning and directing photoshoots, commissioning illustrations and negotiating contracts, I have access to a network of talented designers, photographers, illustrators and editorial freelancers.

I have worked with large brands such as Good Housekeeping, Mollie Makes and the Simplicity Sewing Group, as well as small businesses like Merchant & Mills, Lucy Bee and Toft, producing books that works within existing brand requirements. I also enjoy building relationships with individual authors, and am able to guide them through the publishing process from start to finish. Clients include Elwin Street, Pavilion Books, Quadrille and Thames & Hudson.
