Amelia Warner

Amelia Warner – Web Developer

I’m Amelia, a web designer who helps authors bring their stories online. I design engaging, easy-to-use websites that grow your readership.

Overview

I’m an experienced website and graphic designer helping authors create online spaces that feel like a natural extension of their work; thoughtful, easy to navigate, and simple to manage as your writing evolves.

Whether you’re publishing your first book or growing an established catalogue, I make the process clear and supportive from start to finish. The goal isn’t just a beautiful site, but one that helps readers discover your stories and stay connected.

I work across platforms including Wix, WordPress, Shopify, and Squarespace, helping you choose what fits your needs, comfort level, and long-term plans. Alongside the website itself, I can support you with branding, SEO, domain and email setup, and the practical details that make your online presence run smoothly.

What it’s like to work together?

I take the time to listen and understand what you need, so the process feels supportive and straightforward. Every project is shaped around your voice, your genre, and the readers you want to reach. I focus on creating websites that are calm, intuitive, and easy to update

Projects

Daisy Hill Publishing

I collaborated with Ann to design a playful, engaging website and store for Daisy Hill Publishing. Our aim was to attract both adult and child readers to her books and farm store. The branding and design were inspired by nature discovery, creating a fun and educational experience that highlights the wonders of the natural world and backyard explorations. Vibrant, interactive elements ensure every visitor enjoys an immersive experience.

Customised Author Templates

Offering flexible website template packages designed specifically for authors and creative storytellers.

Each website is built from two parts:

A website template (the structure and layout)
A Style Kit (colour palette and typography only)

Seraphina Lewis (.com)

This website was designed to celebrate curiosity.

Built for author Seraphina Lewis, the site brings together weird, wonderful, and fascinating facts in a way.

Inspired by National Geographic, the design is clean and calm, allowing bold imagery and thoughtful typography to do the storytelling. Each page gives space for discovery guiding readers through surprising themes while reflecting the sense of awe and curiosity found in Seraphina’s books.

Lee Hansen Books (.com) The Adventures of Globert

A simple three-page website for Lee Hansen and The Adventures of Globert.
For this design, we let the beautifully watercoloured illustrations lead the layout, guiding visitors gently across each page. The result is an immersive experience that draws you into the journey of Globert and his friends, allowing the story to unfold naturally as you scroll.

Little Explorer's Journal (.com)

Wix Studio website design for children’s adventure book series Little Explorer’s Journal. The site combines playful, adventurous design with practical functionality, including an integrated shop and a CMS for downloadable guides and educational resources. It’s fully synced with Mailchimp, Amazon, and Trustpilot to streamline marketing, sales, and customer feedback, while creating an engaging, easy-to-navigate space for young readers and their families.

Little Acorn's Big world

Squarespace website design for children’s storybook series Little Acorn’s Big World. The site was designed to feel playful, gentle, and inviting, reflecting the heart of the stories themselves.

Buddoo Books - buddoobooks.com

I designed this website on shopify making it easy for families and educators to discover and purchase their books. Buddoo Books invites readers of all backgrounds to explore narratives that spark joy and curiosity.

Ann Howard Creel - www.annhowardcreelauthor.com

Designing the official website for Ann Howard Creel, an award-winning author renowned for her historical fiction novels. The site showcases her rich storytelling, including The Magic of Ordinary Days, which was adapted into a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie. With a clean, user-friendly design, the website highlights her latest release, A Life Came Calling, and offers readers easy access to her full bibliography. It's a space where fans can connect with Ann's literary world and stay updated on her upcoming works.

Zoe's Zebra - www.zoezebrabooks.com

For Zoe’s Zebra, I designed a bright, playful website to reflect the heart of the story which is based on true events. The site acts as both an author hub and a shop, making it easy for readers to learn more and buy the book.

Operation Relocation - https://www.oprelocation.com/

I designed a website for relocation specialists Operation Relocation. The website features a personalised quiz to match users with their ideal destination, offers a comprehensive relocation workbook, and provides access to a supportive global community. The design emphasises clarity and ease of navigation, ensuring users can plan their move with confidence and minimal stress.

Sarah Around The World - www.saraharoundtheworld.com

A whimsical, storybook-inspired website for Sarah Around the World, a bedtime adventure following Sarah as she dreams her way across the globe. The design brings the magic of travel to life with playful illustrations, interactive scroll effects, and sparkling animations, creating a dreamy, immersive experience that sparks curiosity and imagination in children and adults alike.

Eco Weave Concept Design

A fresh, playful e-commerce concept for the Eco Weave Forever Bag designed for sustainable shopping. The site showcases the bag’s eco-friendly woven texture, perfect for fruit, veg, and everyday groceries. Clean, user-friendly design highlights product details, sustainability benefits, and effortless shopping experience.

I teamed up with up-and-coming children's author Amanda Mengel to develop her website for her first book in her new series, Finn's Funny Feelings. Her goal was to create a welcoming space where kids and parents could easily learn about her books and access her educational resources in a fun and interactive way.

EMA Australia Website Design & Branding - https://www.ema-aus.com/

5-page website design and build for EMA Australia, a Non-Profit Organisation dedicated to fostering education within the Marine Area in Western Australia. The website was structured to give visitors a clear understanding of the organisation's mission, values, and ongoing projects.

A key aspect of this project was to strategically entice potential sponsors and members to join EMA Australia's cause. To achieve this, I integrated compelling calls-to-action and engaging content such as graphics and images.

Additionally, a significant focus was placed on the blog and newsletter marketing integration. This meant setting up a dynamic blog section where EMA Australia could share valuable insights, educational resources, and updates about their marine conservation efforts.
