Overview
Hi! My name is Alvaro, and I'm an illustrator and graphic designer from Spain.
I love to create modern, eerily organic, intricate album and book covers, posters and merch designs.
I studied illustration in Valladolid (Spain), my hometown, then moved to Madrid to return to the traditional methods of printmaking at the Arte 10 School. These techniques helped me to find my artistic voice and current style, based on bold, textured lines and striking compositions.
In Madrid, my career as a music artwork designer blossomed as I connected with many local bands. Having the opportunity to work on many album covers and gig posters.
As an artist I can help authors to present their works with compelling, beautiful images, in the form of cover and interior illustrations, that convey the atmosphere and feeling of the worlds they imagine.
In my works I use traditional techniques (pen, ink and graphite) combined with digital tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator (to embellish with colour, texture and graphic design elements). Also I create custom letterings that paired with illustrations make the perfect cover for your books, as the icing on a cake.
