Overview
"Allison got me into the business of writing and publishing! As a new author, I was totally unaware of all that it was involved writing and getting a book published. Hiring her was the best decision I could have ever made. She not only did a fabulous job in editing my two adult books, but she also provided me with so much insight on the publishing profession. I am most appreciative of the encouragement she gave me that helped me with the confidence I needed to put my work out for the world to read. If my path had not crossed Allison’s, I would not be the author of multiple books like I am today. You need her by your side! You won’t regret it.” —Pascuala Herrera, author of *Not Always a Valley of Tears* and the Indie Author Project's 2022 Indie Author of the Year
**
I’m a publishing industry veteran, having started my career back in 2002 at a midsized independent book publishing house where I worked my way up the proverbial ladder from editorial assistant to director of production.
Over the years, I’ve edited and prepared for print hundreds of titles in a variety of genres, though my fave subject areas are music and spirituality.
I know that most writers want to focus on communicating their big ideas without getting distracted by all the rules of grammar, spelling, and punctuation that their English teachers probably never fully explained to them. So that's where I step in. I specialize in helping authors polish up their prose with nuanced and sensitive edits so that they can share their work with confidence and clarity.

In this role, I primarily helped oversee design and production teams, procured best pricing and schedules for book projects from offset printers (domestically and internationally), set budgets for new titles, and helped evaluate book proposals. But I also made time to work on edits of books including *Prince on Prince* by Arthur Lizie and the second edition of *Beyond Fear* by Don Miguel Ruiz!
