Alison Glossop – Editor

Freelance editor of children's/adult non-fiction (eg cookery, nature, environment, health). Worked at Bloomsbury, What on Earth Books, CRUK.

Overview

I am a Freelance Editor with nine years of experience in the publishing and charity sectors. At Bloomsbury Publishing, I worked on the adult illustrated non-fiction list with authors such as Russell Norman, Frances Quinn, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Sarah Raven. At Cancer Research UK, I wrote and edited case studies, interviews and blog articles for the Annual Review. And at What on Earth Books, I edited children's books including 'Absolutely Everything!' and 'Humanimal' by Christopher Lloyd and a fully illustrated timeline about the history of music with the Royal Albert Hall.

I specialise in copy-editing and proofreading, and bring my experience as well as passion to make your project the best it can be. My excellent attention to detail and organisation mean that I deliver results on schedule, on budget and at a high standard. I am more than happy to have initial discussions to explore how we can work together. Whether you are a publisher looking to commission a freelance editor or an independent author looking for a keen editorial eye to work on your manuscript, I would love to hear from you!
