Alice Williams – Designer

Hello! My name is Alice and I have been a freelance illustrator since 2018. I'm a recent graphic communication and illustration graduate from Loughborough University now trying to make my way into the illustration industry.

I specialise in character art, narrative work and sequential comics however I'm always excited to learn a new skill and broaden my area of expertise. I have an immense passion for bringing characters to life and building stories through my art, immersing the audience in a new world. It's safe to say that while you're reading this, I'm doodling away with a hot cup of tea and a dog on my lap.

My work has been internationally exhibited in shows such as the 2024 Interdependence Exhibition held by the Politecnico di Milano in Milan. In addition, I was very proud to have my work selected to represent Loughborough University in the 2024 D&AD New Blood Festival as well as awarded Excellence in Image Making by the Loughborough SDCA during the 2024 Degree Show.

I have a deep love for the fantasy genre, or anything magical, because it allows so much creative freedom, especially when you're not tied down by real-world physics. What also helps is that I'm a massive fan of all things Dungeons and Dragons; this is definitely a massive inspiration in my work.

My creative process involves quite a rigorous approach, involving extensive thumb-nailing and experimenting with colours and styles to make sure the artwork comes out just right. I like to keep the author in the loop as much as possible to ensure the final result is exactly what you're looking for.
