Alice Peck

Alice Peck – Editor

Editor, collaborator, cowriter of books about creativity, mind, and spirituality. I guide authors at every stage--concept to final draft.

Overview

If you are a careful reader of acknowledgment pages, you’ll see I have over twenty years experience guiding authors through every step along the path to publication—from developing an idea to polished pages.

I have edited and cowritten books by spiritual teachers including Adyashanti (The Most Important Thing), Loch Kelly (The Way of Effortless Mindfulness), Miles Neale (Gradual Awakening), Solala Towler (Practicing the Tao Te Ching), Bonnie Myotai Treace, Sensei (Empty Branches and Winter Moon), and Lama Surya Das (Make Me One with Everything and Buddha Standard Time), Kimberly Brown (Steady, Calm, and Brave), Jeffrey Rubin (The Art of Flourishing), and Lodro Rinzler (Take Back Your Mind).

Forthcoming books include Boundless Leadership by Elazar Aslan and Joe Loizzo (Shambhala, 2021), The Direct Way by Adyashanti (Sounds True, 2021), The Knowing by Saje Dyer & Serena Dyer Pisoni (Sounds True, 2021), and Cheese, Wine, and Bread by Katie Quinn (Morrow, 2021).

I love anthologies and have edited two from SkyLight Paths—Next to Godliness and Bread, Body, Spirit—as well as two published by Sounds True—The Self-Acceptance Project and The Dharma of Dogs.

I've written several books about nature and spirituality including Be More Tree (Simon & Schuster). Before focusing exclusively on publishing, I acquired books and developed scripts for film and television and story-produced documentary and reality series for AMC, Bravo, and MTV.
