I’m a proofreader specialising in self-help, cookery and craft books. I spent over 6 years working in-house in the publishing industry (Hachette UK/ Penguin) before transitioning to freelance work in 2023. As well as my extensive in-house publishing experience, I have also completed regular training with The Publishing Training Centre to ensure my editorial skills are as developed as possible.


I'll take a dedicated, tailored approach to each job and maintain clear communication with you at every stage so that you continue to feel really involved in the process. I am proud of my ability to complete proofreading jobs to a very high standard and often ahead of schedule. I managed the production of all audiobooks and eBooks for OPG and worked closely with internal departments, including Editorial, Production, and Design, as well as with authors, agents, and external suppliers to create high-quality digital editions. I edited and adapted audio recording scripts, QC’d final audio and ebook files, and proofread copy for digital editions.

I assisted the Head of Digital in keeping audiobook, eBook, and other digital projects on schedule and to budgeted costs. I managed production of all eBooks and audiobooks while also maintaining the day-to-day running of the department during my manager's maternity leave.
