Alice Crider

Alice Crider – Editor

Alice Crider is an author coach and a freelance editor with 20+ years of experience in book publishing.

Overview

I love books and the people who write them! I am a freelance editor with 20+ years of experience in traditional book publishing, including eight years in a division of Random House. I have served in various editorial capacities in Christian publishing—including editor, literary agent, and director of acquisitions and development.

I specialize in non-fiction, developmental, content, and line editing. I am skilled at analyzing a manuscript’s strengths and weaknesses, and at suggesting improvements and revisions. I love strategizing and brainstorming ideas with writers.

I am also a certified life coach and author coach with more than ten years of experience in helping individuals and authors achieve their dreams and goals. Once I remove the log... er, um, the blind spot from their view, they tend to become unstoppable!

Additionally, I am a certified copywriter and I love book marketing. If you're overwhelmed with the idea of building an author platform, I'll help you build a tribe of loyal readers instead.

When I'm not editing, coaching, or writing, I can be found riding my horse, Nugget, mountain biking with my husband, and spending time with my family and my Corgi, Eli.

Alice was a blessing to work with. She gave me great insight into my manuscript and went above and beyond what she was hired to do. She gave me a detailed roadmap to improve my work and attain a better end product.

I love working with world-changing writers who know their calling and purpose. J. Taliaferro is definitely one of those! I look forward to seeing his books in print.
