Overview

I am the editor you can trust to be non-judgemental, flexible and meticulous.

My specialisms include: language learning, sustainability, meditation, arts and education. This month my collaborations included: a self-help book about empathy, a novella about ADHD, blogs about meditation, language learning tests, as well as sustainability presentations and reports on climate change. Next month I have a historical fiction novel – how about your book too?

Please see a recent testimonial from a publisher:

Alex completed all of the tasks within the agreed time frame. Alex has a great attention to detail and is willing to explain any stylistic inconsistencies she encounters. Alex is very easy to communicate with and responds well to feedback.

And one from a novelist:

Alex’s editorial suggestions were spot on and showed a respect for my writing style, whilst at the same time pointing out areas of concern and weakness. She identified some excellent plot, character and story conflicts and inaccuracies. She was able to identify sensitivity and repetition issues and made excellent suggestions on how to ‘fix’ things – which have made the novel much stronger.

I have over 30 years’ experience in publishing and education worldwide, particularly working with multilingual authors.

I offer a free sample edit to help you see the different levels of copyedit I can provide. Together we can decide how much you want me to change and how much you are prepared to rewrite after my suggestions. We could follow up with a chat about your writing on Reedsy messages or a video call if you prefer.
