I have flexible working methods and can edit text in any medium, from hardcopy to electronic PDF markups. I'll establish what works best for you and adapt to suit. After a consultation to establish the level of editing you require – and this could range from a total rewrite to tweaking to house style – I'll keep you regularly updated throughout the editing/proofing process, supplying edited/proofed copy to schedule.
Most of my editing has been in the fields of ELT, trade non-fiction and biography, but I particularly enjoy editing fiction, particularly SFF, and have freelanced in this genre too.

Temporary inhouse placement. Duties included copy-editing and proofreading of educational materials for online university course content via XML (oXygen/structured content). The role required close liaising with academic staff.

Artwork commissioning: Liaising and meeting with clients, sourcing and commissioning illustrations from artists, managing budgets, allocating and editing briefs, managing large projects (eg 1000+ illustrations), drawing up contracts.
Photo research and rights management: Liaising and meeting with clients regarding budgets and content, sourcing images from online sources, managing budgets, buying image rights from standard and non-standard (third-party) sources.
