Aidan Mahony – Editor

Passionate and dedicated developmental editor and copyeditor specializing in memoir and general nonfiction

Overview

Hey! I'm Aidan (she/her), and I am excited to offer my services in copyediting, developmental editing, and book proposal development.

A little about me: I currently work as an editorial assistant for an imprint of HarperCollins called HarperOne. I am passionate about literary nonfiction, voice-driven memoirs, and social justice; and luckily, I have had the privilege to work closely with some of HarperOne’s most beloved authors at the forefront of social change.

Throughout my career, I have provided developmental edits on SITTING PRETTY by Rebekah Taussig, WEIRD BUT NORMAL by Mia Mercado, RIGGED JUSTICE by John Vandemoer, NOTES FROM A TRAP FEMINIST by Sesali Bowen, GRIEVING BRAIN by Mary Frances O’Connor, SINGLE ON PURPOSE by John Kim, and many more exciting projects. I have also worked closely on the publication of New York Times bestselling titles, including Jonathan Van Ness' OVER THE TOP and Marlo Thomas and Phil Donahue’s WHAT MAKES A MARRIAGE LAST.
