As a professional in the publishing business for nearly 15 years, I've edited and written books in a huge range of topics, including (but not limited to) history, politics and government, science, graphic novels, choose-your-own-adventure titles, project, recipe, and craft books, illustrated picture books, and pop culture. I have extensive knowledge when it comes to writing at level and simplifying text so it's both understandable and engaging. And I'm willing to tackle any subject--my first published book as an author was on Justin Bieber, so you know that's true.

I have experience bringing a book from concept to finished product. I've written back cover and marketing copy, outlines, created book maps and basic layouts, written captions, copy edited, proofread, indexed, and flat-out done any and all editing work necessary to make the best book possible.

I also have experience writing for databases, creating content for websites (including short ad blurbs and blogging), writing newsletters, and in food blogging. I have given a webinar giving insights to educational publishing, and provided feedback on sample packets for potential authors. I have also reviewed sample packets and writing samples for their suitability in the education publishing market.

I have a special love of historical fiction and comic books. And while my background specializes in short books, I love a good, long, epic work. Winter is coming, and I'm ready to curl up with a good book and a red pen. Will that book be yours?

I've written for and worked with some of the major publishers in educational publishing, including (but not limited to) Capstone, Abdo, Lerner, Cherry Lake, The Creative Company, Mitchell Lane, MIghty Media, as well as licensed product for WB, Sports Illustrated, and DC Comics.
