Overview

Hi! Thanks for visiting this profile page. I'm excited to tell you about myself--I know you've got a ton of great options from which to choose.

I'm a former Executive Editor with fifteen years of experience in the publishing industry. Most of my career was spent at Hachette Book Group, first at Little, Brown and Company, where I helped launch the mystery/thriller imprint Mulholland Books and acquired and edited many exciting new voices in the genre.

I then moved to Little, Brown’s sister company, Grand Central Publishing, in 2016, where my list expanded to include several bestselling authors. I'm proud to have edited and published Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child, Stephen Chbosky, Harlan Coben, Brad Meltzer, Ben Mezrich, Jason Schreier, Joe Ide, Kanae Minato, Robin Peguero, Chuck Palahniuk, Kyle Beachy, C. J. Sansom, and many others.

More than a dozen books I edited debuted on the New York Times Best Sellers List, six of them at #1, and books on which I've worked received the ALA Alex Award, the Nero Award, the Macavity Award, the Strand Critics Award for Best Debut, and were selected as Best Books of the Year by the New York Times, NPR, the Wall Street Journal, and more.

My favorite kind of manuscript to edit is like many of the novels on which I've worked--rich with mystery and potential, a red herring or two, rabbit holes to get lost within, and plenty of surprises for editor and author both.

He helped guide my story and challenged it in ways I hadn’t expected or considered, which promises to expand and improve it (I’m still working on it as I leave this review). He also called out a...

It's not a cliche to say that I found Mr. Miller an absolute joy to work with. He offers a lot of encouragement in the process of honing your work. And his suggestions were spot on to help me improve areas of my novel that I wasn't completely happy with. Highly recommended!

I've now worked with Wes Miller twice - and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. In addition to careful, considered readings of work, Wes has a true talent for explaining the whys and hows of utilitarian advice. For example, he clearly and concisely lays out how to "Show, don't tell" in a way that a...
