I'm a senior editor based in the Bay Area. I have more than a decade of experience in editorial and trade publishing, primarily with nonfiction works. I enjoy reading and specialize in narratives, including creative nonfiction, literary journalism, investigative deep dives, personal essays, and memoirs. I'm open to select fiction genres as well.I'm available to work with authors and publishers. I can provide an editorial assessment of a manuscript (including an editorial letter with an overview of my feelings about the project, notes on themes/structure/tone/audience/etc., and key actionable items and fixes), developmental editing, substantive/line editing, or any combination thereof.Across the board, I am passionate about working with authors who have compelling voices, unique perspectives, and great stories to tell.
