Experienced Publisher, Editor, Writer and general all-round good bloke. Happy to advise you on the best way forward with your idea, project or writing. I have worked in professional publishing all my life in one capacity or another. Starting in technical and professional publishing, magazine and newspaper writing and editing, and for the last 30 year sin book publishing. I've picked up a few things along the way, and have been delighted to help mentor small international publishers as they find their feet. I've also written and contributed to more than 20 books, including books for children. I love language, and I love working out how to hone a book's appeal to the end audience. If I had to say what I am best at, I would say Developmental editing - the process of helping an author refine the direction, level and content of their work in a way that will properly connect with an audience. In many ways this is the fundamental skill that a publisher brings to an author. I'm interested in everything.
