Thea Voutiritsas

Thea Voutiritsas – Editor

Copyeditor and proofreader specializing in YA, cookbooks, poetry, and graphic novels.

Overview

Getting your project from manuscript to print isn't easy, and I'd love to help you cross the finish line!

I'm a full-time production editor based in Chicago with over four years of experience in professional copyediting, proofreading, and production. I've worked in several subject areas, but my most recent projects have been in young adult fiction (thriller, mystery, romance), cookbooks, poetry, astrology, and graphic novels.

Whether you need high-level copyediting or a nuts-and-bolts proofread, I can provide the second set of eyes you need to get your manuscript in tip-top shape. Capitalizing on my experience in production editorial publishing, I can help you spot inconsistencies in plot lines, character descriptions, and word usage; clean up spotty syntax; and root out those easy-to-miss spelling and punctuation errors.

Not sure what your next steps are? Let's chat about your project and find out where you are in the publishing process. I shepherd about 50 titles a year from development and design through print and distribution. I can help you find the best path forward.

Thea was a pleasure to work with! Along with her copyediting comments, she made note of inconsistencies with plot/character and added encouraging notes along the way. After our initial round of edits, I was able to ask her questions, which she promptly answered. She even helped me tweak my blurb, offering great suggestions to make it better. Thank you, Thea, for all your hard work!
