Shepherd books and calendars through scheduling, routing, quality control, costs, and delivery. Maintain and track schedules for titles in conjunction with the editor, art director, and production manager. Ensure compliance with The Chicago Manual of Style or appropriate style sheet. Oversee creation of corrected files for text reprints. Review print-on-demand pdfs and samples for quality and accuracy. Review ebooks for quality and accuracy.

SUBJECTS: TECHNICAL WRITING, SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, INFRASTRUCTURE
Responsible for the editing and production of technical and managerial publications
written by association volunteers and third-party authors. Plan and coordinate projects
with staff, authors, and stakeholders. Produce internal communications and provide
editing services to our internal departments to ensure quality marketing materials.

Reviewed unsolicited poetry and short story manuscripts, as well as novel-length works
for BkMk Press, a sister company. Proofread accepted manuscripts according to AP
Style and checked proof pages for formatting errors. Wrote press releases for upcoming
events and new editions of the magazine.

Copy edited and proofread academic articles for the American Educational History
Journal according to the Chicago Manual of Style. Cross-checked the reference
materials against in-text citations and primary sources. Negotiated edits and suggested
changes with authors via email.

Assisted in events and projects to promote gender equity and violence prevention.
Managed the Women’s Center blog by writing, editing, and publishing blog posts
through WordPress. Worked with the Director and Assistant Director to plan events,
make budget allocations, and staff the center.

Helped students plan, write, edit, and submit assignments across a variety of subjects
including essays, dissertations, resumes, cover letters, and creative work. Conducted
writing workshops for classes ranging from 10 to 100 students.
