Overview

Writing is hard.
I know - I started writing the moment I could hold a pencil. Well, a crayon. In fact, my baby book shows that my favorite toy was a book...when I was a baby! Reading was my first love. It prepared me for many losses, traumas, and, well, love. It comes as no surprise that I decided to complete my first degree in Literature and Communications. That program forced me to take creative writing classes, which is when I discovered my passion for editing and proofreading.

About 13 years ago, I started freelancing as a proofreader. Back then, freelancing wasn't as popular as it is now. I was reviewing and editing novels for just $5. Still, I was doing what I loved. Currently, I work with many bestselling authors on Amazon. I especially like working with first-time authors. It's hard to find your voice and decide what you want to say, which is why I'm here.

I've worked with many companies and publishers, including Penguin, Scholastic, and Harper Collins. Most commonly, authors want line editing, developmental editing, and proofreading. I provide all of this, along with a brief of up to 4 pages that reviews how you can improve both your writing and the overall book. I have an ongoing contract with a non-fiction publisher in Australia. I edit around 10 books per week for them. I've also worked as a translator. I'm perfectly bilingual (English, French) and am fluent in German.

Thrillers, romance, memoirs, contemporary classics, and fantasy... I've done it all. I have the perfect blend of professional and personal experience to make your work its absolute best. I sincerely hope we get the chance to work together. If not, I wish you the absolute best of days.

The price was a bit expensive. Not to much insight into the edits. More like teacher grading papers to a 5th grader than writing professionals coming together for a project.

Tanya did exactly what she said she would do and was nice + available throughout the whole thing. We had some communication hiccups right at the tail end of the project because Reedsy wasn't notifying her of new messages, but other than that, communication was good. This was my first book with an official editor as well as my first time on Reedsy. I let her know this on the front end and she w...

Tanya has been exactly what I was looking for. I hope this is not tested further after what she's had to go through with myself, but she is incredibly patient, of course very knowledgeable, and has a wonderful insight into what I've been trying to do, and how to make it better. She's always been positive and kind, no matter the frustration (with my work, lack of tech savvy, etc), and this has...

There were some ups and downs but overall, Tanya got the job done.

Tanya is very kind and responsive. She is a very nice person, no doubt. However, I am not happy with her in terms of her editing quality and making my draft sing. Also, I am really not happy as she never finished working on my draft as per the given due dates.

Hello, I'm not surprised by this review but felt the need to respond. As I explained in our messages, the purpose of editing is not to ghostwrite a manuscript. Even so, I went through every single...
