Tallulah Lyons

Tallulah Lyons – Editor

Editorial Director at Hodder and Stoughton working on commercial fiction, previously at Penguin Random House.

Overview

I am an experienced and dedicated editor, with over five years of experience working on a wide range of genres including crime and thriller, romance and women's fiction. My true love is romance and I have excellent knowledge of the commercial market and what is needed for success.

I love to work with authors on their projects, and my favourite part of the job is that first edit - when you're reading something with fresh eyes - and you can feel the story coming to life.

I'm passionate about making an author's book the best it can be and in all edits focus on streamlining any plot points, character arcs, pacing issues and much more. I feel strongly that for any good editor and author pairing to work, you both need to share the same vision for the book. However, what I always say to an author is that it's your book, I'm just here to help make it the very best it can be.
