Overview
Before becoming freelance in 2018, I was a cover designer at DK Life (a non-fiction imprint of Penguin Random House), where I developed a broad knowledge of technical design and production processes. I have since branched out into working for independent publishers such Tuttle, Zed Books and And Other Stories, as well as continuing to keep DK as a valued client.Having relocated from London to Margate, I now work from my home studio, which gives me the space and freedom to experiment with processes such as relief printing, painting and collage.

At DK I was a cover designer for the lifestyle division. I worked on many books covering subjects such as cooking, fitness, gardening and crafts. Here I learnt about all the technicalities of setting up files correctly for print, including the use of varnish, foils and speciality inks. While at DK I designed the cover for The Science of Cooking - the design went on the win an award at The New York Book show in 2018.
