Overview
Hey there! I'm a highly collaborative book editor specializing in developmental and line-editing for middle-grade and YA projects.
While I'm known for my grand love of horror, I read across a vast variety of genres and have acquired and worked on titles from near-future sci-fi, contemporary fantasy, contemporary rom-com and coming of age, and humorous stories. I have also worked on erotic romance and adult fiction and dabbled in nonfiction.
During my time at Scholastic, I also assisted my bosses on their major series such as The Bad Guys and Goosebumps. I have extensive experience working on IP titles from brainstorming to shepherding authors through the entire publishing process. One thing I really love, besides getting to work with authors on their projects, is getting to mentor them and make this industry a little less opaque.
As an editor, you can expect someone who is deeply passionate about books and publishing. I'm a yapper so I love to brainstorm over video and phone calls with my authors, especially if they get stuck. And I also highly value communication. Every project has different needs and so when I work with an author, I don't treat every one of their projects the same. I sit down, evaluate, and work with you to get your book into the best shape possible.
If you're interested in working with me whether on an editorial assessment, a developmental edit, or if you want me to get down to the nitty gritty and line-edit your project, please reach out! I'd love to work with you.
