I offer copyediting and proofreading services for novelists who are preparing to self-publish or submit work for traditional publishing. I copyedited or proofread dozens of novels for Kensington Books in a variety of genres, including romance, historical fiction, cozy mystery, and women's fiction.

If you select copyediting for your manuscript, I will:

• Polish your grammar, punctuation, and syntax following the Chicago Manual of Style
• Check for and maintain consistency regarding characters, plot, and timeline
• Produce an editor's style sheet that lists character names and details, style choices for words and phrases, and a plot timeline where needed
• Maintain your voice as the author, as it's my goal to make your own style shine through

If you select proofreading, I will:

• Carefully read your edited and formatted manuscript to ensure that no typos or consistency errors got through
• Check for formatting errors or inconsistencies

I offer a free 1,000-word sample edit to ensure that we're a good fit before the project begins.
