Sarah Jubar

Sarah Jubar – Editor

I'd like to continue to be a catalyst for change through helping authors draft, develop, and publish engaging books. This is my passion.

Overview

I’m an idealist who dances with a dose of realism. I’m a powerhouse when it comes to drilling down to the "so what? now what?" of a proposal and making all the necessary steps--from creating an outline to drafting chapters to negotiating contract terms--as enjoyable as possible.

I mostly develop books and relationships. Writing an engaging book is all about connecting--connecting with yourself, your editor, and your readers.

Since graduating college in 2008, I have spent my career working in education publishing (with the exception of a short stint as a copywriter). I hold a BA in English (with a concentration in Creative Writing) and an MA in Writing (fiction concentration). I'd be excited to work on nonfiction education manuscripts or literary fiction.

Working with me will feel like reconnecting with an old friend. I am trustworthy, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable about the ins and outs of publishing. I am an effective editor because I highlight what's working, what needs to be improved, and come up with a clear plan for how to move forward.

When not reading or writing, I enjoy going on walks, playing with slime with my daughter, and watching The Great British Baking Show. (I am not, in fact, a Miniature Australian Shepard. My profile photo is my dog, Olive.)

Sarah did ann outstanding job of providing a developmental edit. She did both the standard edit, as well as providing great ideas about how to add and modify concepts. Not only did she return a draft edited, but she gave me a report with comments and suggestions! She is an outstanding professional who I would highly reccomend!
