Sarah Janssen – Designer

Professional Artist and Illustrator, with experience in traditional medium children's book illustrations and fantasy digital art. I've been a traditional painter all my life, mostly working in watercolour and oil mediums, but my education is in geography, theatre, herbal medicine, and digital painting (quite eclectic I know!). My wide array of educational and life experience gives me a unique and vibrant approach to every project. I've worked on illustrations for a couple children's book in the past (using watercolour and coloured pencil), and designed and created several colouring book pages. I've also created character art and environment concepts for the video game industry. Other professional projects include, greeting cards, tattoo design, oil painting and interior design.Well thats a start on my professional experience, but you're probably wondering what its like to work with me as a person, right? Well, I'm a very easy going and down to earth person. I love collaboration and taking on new projects that challenge me to learn new things and dive into new subjects. I always do a fair bit of research on a topic or subject before I start drawing, to ensure maximum understanding and create believable illustrations. I strongly value communication and do my best to work transparently. I make an effort to make sure you are looped in during the whole process, so no surprises! Above all, I truly value and strive for emotion and connection in every piece. So let's make that happen together!
