Overview

As an editor with 5+ years experience in trade publishing, I specialize in literary/upmarket fiction and narrative nonfiction, with a focus on books that give serious weight to contemporary social issues—ranging from coming-of-age stories to deep dives into recent pop culture, internet phenomena, and personal memoir. I also have a soft spot for all things speculative and historical (particularly if they’re wonky or a bit off-kilter), as well as women's fiction and domestic thrillers.

I pride myself on working closely with authors to shape and polish their work into the best version it can be, moving from large-picture restructuring down to the granular line level. I love diving into new literary ecosystems to probe what makes each character tick, and how these ambitions inform the text's larger takeaways. Along the way, I remain very hands-on, asking questions to make sure an author’s intentions and deeper meanings don’t get lost during the (sometimes overwhelming!) revision process.

Reach out to me if we sound like a good match. I’d love to learn more about your project, whether it’s fiction, memoir, self-help, or something in-between!
