I have been involved in publishing since 1986 and have operated as a freelancer since 2003. I am also a lecturer in history at QUB.
I have been involved in publishing since 1986, first as an Editorial Manager with Ulster Society Publications Ltd and then as an Editor with Colourpoint Books, before deciding to go freelance in 2003. As a freelance copy-editor I have worked on a range of projects for a number of leading publishers, for example, 101 Great Philosophers and Cymbeline (Bloomsbury); Lewis Hamilton: My Story and Sky News: 20 Years of Breaking News (HarperCollins); Voices of the Old Firm and Who's Who of Chelsea (Mainstream); and Gary Cooper, The Penguin Dictionary of Marketing and The Penguin Guide to the European Union (Penguin). For I.B. Tauris, I have copy-edited The Riviera at War and A Short History of the Hundred Years War, among other titles. As well as copy-editing, I have also experience of proofreading (e.g. Jean-Jacques Rousseau for Bloomsbury and London: The Historical Atlas for Penguin) and indexing (e.g. Thatcher's Millions for Mainstream and The Wester Lit Survival Kit for Penguin). In addition to my work in publishing I am also a part-time lecturer in history at the Queen's University of Belfast (since 1994).

Off screen he bedded a host of leading ladies and carefully honed his image, making... read more
