To save your precious time I'll cut to the business part firs- please, be advised that picture book projects with me start from 3500,- EUR + your Reedsy fees. For detailed art styles this will be higher.

A picture book typically is aimed at children aged 3-8, has a story that is between 500 and 1000 words, has 32 pages. Offer includes cover art, cover design, interior art for 16 full illustrations or equivalent, sketches, storyboard, iterations, interior book design and a print ready PDF. I don't use AI.

Any other design (promo materials) fees will be handled separately.

I do have special terms. You get a perpetual license to use my artwork, but I retain the copyright. You can't sell rights to my artwork to third parties and I can't resell the art in a way that harms your interests. This means, that I cannot sell it to some stock sites or puzzle companies, but if a traditional publisher wants to publish your book, they have to buy the rights to art from me.

I am a professional illustrator based in Latvia and I have worked with authors from Europe and North America. I illustrate using traditional and digital media. As an academically trained artist, I'm interested in a certain level of detail and realism and I always strive to produce quality art. I can do title design and book layout- create your book from A-Z like I did with my two books, that have been published by Zvaigzne ABC. My experience with casual game illustration can come in handy if you're interested in expanding your book to interactive mediums.

I can work both very independently and with strong direction. You're a bit confused as to what would be the best approach- let me guide you through, so that we find the most pleasing solution!
