Rebecca Demarest – Designer

I created Mneme Press to help underrepresented playwrights publish their work in a printed format to help them gain a wider audience and distribution than they might otherwise.

I provide book design and publishing services to small presses and independent authors.

I am in charge of all design work, including cover design, book design, branding, and promotional material, for a small independent horror press, Dark Skull Publications.

I am in charge of all design aspects of the Seattle Play Series, from promotional material, to book and logo design.

I spend my 9-5 creating technical illustrations for O'Reilly Media and doing odd design and editing jobs around the department as needed.

Created book covers for each edition from submitted art, laid out the interior of the journal, and produced marketing materials for the journal. Also represented the journal at the annual Association of Writers and Writing Programs (AWP) conference.

I design covers, interior layouts for print books, prep manuscripts for digital conversion, and just generally take your book from edited manuscript to published product.
