Rebecca Barney – Designer

I discovered the world of publishing when a former client introduced me to a small publishing company in need of a cover designer and art director. It was incredibly rewarding to create covers for these authors and to work and collaborate with other designers to create a design the authors were proud to show off and promote. Since then, I have made book designs for many self-publishing authors in fiction, non-fiction, YA and middle grade genres.

My professional background includes cover and wrap book design, where I honed key skills such as positive communication with authors, time management to ensure deadlines were met and collaborating with authors and editors to deliver a quality product. I also have experience in interior art with chapter headings, small illustrations and maps.
