PJ Shaw – Editor

Nationally recognized author and editor helping writers get published.

Overview

I've had the joy of writing and editing some 100 books for children and adults—a dream come true for me. Now, I work passionately to help other writers fulfill their dreams. As the Senior Editor for Dalmatian Press/Piggy Toes Press/Intervisual Books, I collaborated with writers, editorial directors and illustrators to produce Sesame Workshop books and Disney books, as well as original titles. I specialize in children's literature—from first draft to publication—but also enjoy editing novels and nonfiction books for adults and the YA audience.

Wrote and edited children's books—including picture books, footnoted classics and board books—for Sesame Street, Disney, publishers of Strawberry Shortcake and Curious George coloring/ activity books, and other companies. Researched, wrote and edited original titles for adults, such as the Martin Luther King, Jr., book Voices: Reflections on an American Icon in Words and Song Helped launch Spirit Press and Sonrisas imprints. Was privilegedto have the CEO of Sesame Workshop recognize my rhyming book What Makes You Giggle? as the standard for what a Sesame Street book should be.
