Overview

My freelance career has been most notably illustration involving Children's books, Editorial and Advertising. Humor is a fundamental element in my work as well as designing a cohesive narrative for books. However, humor is not involved with a recent large scale ongoing project for Pandia press which I am involved in. I illustrated an immersive study history book for elementary-age children. This History Quest series places the students in a time machine as if they personally met historical figures.
I find collaboration has just as much reward as the art itself. The samples I have chosen on my profile are indicative of that collaboration with editor and art director.
Clients include:
Golden Books, McGraw-Hill School division, Nickelodeon, Weekly Reader Corp., The Nation Magazine, Forbes, Harcourt Publishers, The New York Times and Oxford University Press among others.

What a great experience Pete is extremely talented. I am more than satisfied. I will certainly work with him again. He is thorough and a fast diligent professional. An excellent communicator...Pete took the time to fully understand the project and asked just the right questions in order to produce the best product possible. The cover of our book is amazing. Thank you for an incredible job well done!

Mark Powell (Prentice Hall)
Working with Peter was a pleasure. He understood what I wanted, did his research, asked clarifying questions and delivered exactly what I wanted at a standard that exceeded my expectations exactly as and when promised. Fantastic job - I would very happily recommend Pete to anyone.

Santa's Hat

Allan Brookdale

Santa's Hat, is the story about something that happened to Good Ol' Jolly Santa Claus. Something that almost kept Christmas away one year. You've probably lost a hat or two in your day. But you've never had a hat like ... read more
