Forty years' experience in book publishing--from copyeditor to editor to author and three-time best-selling coauthor--brings a unique perspective. I have been providing editorial services to major New York trade publishers since 1983, when I left my position as the first editor of Rolling Stone Press (the magazine's book division). By 2014, I had cowritten more than 22 books and written two of my own.

And, yes, I'm a editor. Why? Because I love it. It fits my lifestyle and lets me engage with authors and their work. I never open a manuscript without remembering how it felt to have my own examined, queried, corrected, and ultimately improved.
