Overview
I'm a children's book editor based in New York whose work focuses on diverse stories and equity in education. My academic background is in English Literature and Education Studies, with my undergraduate projects including endeavors like an observation-based analysis of Boston-area children’s libraries; a picture book social emotional learning curriculum; and a collection of young adult literature to empower Black teens. My current role as an Editorial Assistant at Scholastic Education has taught me the ins and outs of book publishing and developed my skills as a project manager and book editor.I believe that children's books should reflect the diversity of children, both in classrooms and outside of them. I want to help writers use the power of great stories to engage, educate, and empower children. I bring my organization, thorough editing skills, and detail-oriented approach to every project.
