Overview
With over three decades of pop culture publishing experience, and with a lifelong passion for films, music, comics, collectibles and other forms of entertainment, I'm able to offer knowledge and expertise on any project, whether that be commissioning and development, copyediting and proofreading, through to layout and publication.
Starting out in the early 1990s as a dance music journalist, I've gone on to edit and write for numerous books and magazines on pop culture, comics, films, entertainment and music. Having held managing editor positions at Titan, Ilex and Hachette, dealing with everything from author relations and contracts to scheduling and publication, I'm well versed in the inner workings of publishing at all levels.
As an editor, I've overseen entertainment and genre magazines like Mixmag Update and Star Trek Magazine; graphic novels like Dan Dare and Wallace & Gromit; richly illustrated biographies of Osamu Tezuka and Alan Moore, and movie monographs like The Making of Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. As an author, I've written and consulted on numerous books on DC and Marvel comics and movies. And as both editor and lead writer, I developed, launched and led the 120-volume graphic novel series the DC Heroes & Villains Collection.
