Mollie Madden – Editor

I have several years experience formatting, copy editing, and proofreading academic manuscripts, especially in the social sciences and humanities. I have worked on collections of articles, journals, and monographs, as well as dissertations, individual articles, and book proposals. Several of these projects involved working with multiple authors from around the world, and I am both familiar and comfortable working with authors writing in a second or third language--I know how hard that can be! I've worked on projects published by Berghahn Books, Cambridge University Press, and Boydell & Brewer. I'm familiar with the major citation systems, and I have an eye for detail--even in the footnotes. I've published an academic book so I also have an author's experience of academic publishing.

I am open to some fiction projects, specifically historical fiction, historical romance, and speculative fiction with historical elements.

I have a PhD in history and have taught history and writing history at the college level. My services include developmental editing, copy editing, proofreading, formatting, and indexing.
