Mindy Chen – Editor

I worked with academics on planning and preparing textbooks for behavioral sciences at Springer Publishing. As an assistant editor for Infobase and World Almanac for Kids, I've written and edited educational articles and biographies for middle school and high school audiences. I also worked as a research assistant for a book project linked to a 9/11 Memorial and Museum book project. As a freelancer, I edited cover letters, academic papers, marketing copy, and museum wall text for the Museum of Chinese in America. I have also reviewed and copy edited materials translated from Chinese for accuracy.

I believe in working collaboratively, and tailor my work around the author and what they need. My goal in editing is to preserve as much of the original spirit as possible and to help the author shape and refine the final product. These days as a bookseller, I can recommend you an excellent read on top of providing editorial help!
